front left hub squeaking on gq
front left hub squeaking on gq
Does any one have any idea on why my gq has recntly started squeaking when the hub is engaged. Its driving me nuts. Impretty cerain its coming from inside the hub area.
Re: front left hub squeaking on gq
so many possibilities, get a rebuild kit and pull it apart one weekend and replace all bearings and seals. also strip the hub down and grease etc.
If I had to guess I would say the little needle roller bearing that the CV shaft runs on is seized and its turning on that, but thats a wild guess, ive had mine seize but never heard it squeeking. for the record it wore a groove in the CV shaft but I didnt know anything about it until I rebuilt the front end. put the CV back in as is and havent had an issue...
Cheers, Andy
