Chassis straightening

Post by Deleted User »

I had a bit of a bingle (head on) and on getting the vehicle home and speaking to friends they think the chassis may be bent a little. There are no obvious signs of damage to the chassis but by doing a measurement from the centre of the front hubs to the centre of the rear wheels on both sides there is a difference in measurement ? I have had it explained to me that with that method it could be other things that throw that measurement out also. I was told if the chassis is bent I have to go through a panel shop to get it straightened.
Is there a chassis mob in Melbourne that do straightening where I can go direct so as I dont have to go through a panel shop ? I can do the panels myself.

Thanks

Friend had this issue come through his workshop.

the prado had the front end cut off and rewelded it...
had them do a full computer wheel alignment to check it out..

aiding the tech guys..
they were told before hand
vehicle had a front end smash.
bent chassis and replaced...
welded in

inspection came back fine
