I think you have some competiton Bru. Saw a single cab iveco in beige, big Hancook mudders, triple battery bank, looled like optimas. Pre wired at the back for heaps of fittings. Rear winch. Sahara bar copy ( looked really good ) looking like it was off to get a body. Had a little sticker on guard. "Ridgeline expedition vehicles"
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.

First there was Kym Bolton's unit built by him and All Terrain Warrior.
Then Came Earth Crusier a joint venture between Kym Bolton and Lance Gilles
Lance took over Earth cruiser, and after a long break,
Kym started Ridgeline / Travel Trucks with another partner.
All terrain Warrior offer a Premium Chinese built unit (as far as my industry sources tell me, the glass and moulds were made there), mainly based on Isuzu / Canter , but they are priced out of the market as far as I can tell. They do look well finished though.
There certainly is competition - but the more the merrier really.
To give you an example if there was only one seller you would struggle to sell any.
When there are 10 sellers, the concept is proven and people decide which one suits them best.
I see it as a good thing, and I wish Kym all the best in his endeavors.

I saw a dual cab iveco like your Bru yesterday and very surprised with the size of them, no where as big as I was expecting them to be and look like they could be driven everyday as daily driver.
What are they like to park at shopping centers and street parking?

Hey mate,
I find it easier to drive that the cruiser. Great visability, cruise control, better gearbox and ratios, Parking is a breeze, even at bunnings, woolies etc. Very square makes easy corner finding.

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 based Expedition Vehicle
Very interesting, when the baby is out of a rear facing baby seat i may have to look at one, i dont think there is alot of room in the rear seat of these from memory. What is the tow rating for these so i can see if it will work with the new caravan we are looking at.bru21 wrote:Hey mate,

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 based Expedition Vehicle
Mate, we have the probably biggest seat they make and it fits in rearward facing.
We had two of the same seat on the Mackay trip (both rearward in the center) and they fitted.
The front passenger seat was 2 clicks forward of the back position, and I am sure with a smaller seat it could go all the way back easily.
Both the women in the back had plenty of room two.
If you are up this way have a look at mine - it has one seat in there at the moment. I'll try to remember to take some pics,
Remember too, that there is quite a wait on these things if you want a colour other than white (3 months order to delivery).
Edit: Tow rating is 3500kg with a suitable bar, we hope to have these engineered in the near future. One is available through Ridgeline.
cheers bru

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 based Expedition Vehicle
Thank you, i have 2 kids at the moment with one seat rear facing and hopefully a 3rd child to announce by the end of the year if all goes well. Im looking for a family 4wd ute to tow a caravan and handle mild fire trails and sand work that i can daily drive in Sydney (not the cbd). Im popping into iveco in sydney tomorrow to check out if they have a dual cab to look at even if it a 2wd version to check out space and comfort. If i go this route ill be wanting the metallic green and would be happy to wait.bru21 wrote:Mate, we have the probably biggest seat they make and it fits in rearward facing.

MarkX4, I can help you out with a unit - however, as I am not a dealer as such, it would have to be 'EVA spec' and include our options such as alloy wheels / tyres, tray / box, fridge etc..
Let me know closer to the time and I can quote,
Cheers

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 based Expedition Vehicle
Well folks we are days away from signing off on our custom alloy rims!
A fresh, clean sheet design that should hopefully appeal to the masses!
We have incorporated all the appropriate technology, from several race and beadlock wheels, and have a bulletproof design that still weighs in under at under 14kg!
They are street legal, load legal, track width legal, and fit the more common 17" rubber!
I am scared at the $ we need to invest, but hopefully it works out!
As soon as it has been signed I will upload a photo of our 3d rendering.
cheers bru

cannot wait
have you taken notice of the going bush site in regards to the brakes overheating, something to be aware of.
oh and hope they don't cost in the range of $700/ rim

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 based Expedition Vehicle
Well, we made the significant investment yesterday, and paid for our moulds, R&D, Physical testing, etc.
We are getting them approved to TUV (and others) as well, so they can be sold in Europe and globally.
I'll upload some renderings as soon as I have the finished ones, which will be sent later today.
Watch this space!
EVA Alloys full steam ahead!
As Promised:
Rim teaser shot.
We are taking pre orders, get in the first shipment as I am sure they will sell fast!
1800kg load rated, approved for road use in Australia, and legal track width!

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 Alloy Wheel Pics up now!
I would like to hear what people think as far as colour goes, and your age (if you are happy to provide it);
Eg; Justin 32, Graphite machined.
I can get almost any colour and combination, like black with machining, plain black, silver machined, plain silver etc.
Obviously the machining occurs after paint and the logo, rim edge etc. stands out (like the rendering above) and they are then powder coated with clear to handle abuse.
cheers bru

In terms of colour etc, I wouldnt know what they all look like, so a render of each would help people choose

X 2. I thnk people will be better able to make a informed decision when they see them fitted.
Can anyone photo shop them on to a Dailey as an interim till they can be seen fitted for real?
They do look very good. Be great to see you list of things you can do for these vehicles.
cheers, Chris
Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 Alloy Wheel Pics up now!
I'm a bit time poor today so its only quick:
It will be a few months away though unfortunately.
I am having 3 samples sent out in different colours - so I'll post them up fitted with tyres then.It will be a few months away though unfortunately.

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 Alloy Wheel Pics up now!
love the rims
4wd26 age 40 as pictured (guessing graphite machined) for a silver iveco- shame the colour choice in the Iveco range is so limited (my first choice)
maybe black machined on a white or Panama Yellow
another thing that I would be interested in would be a central tire inflation system to be incorporated

Re: Bru's Iveco Daily 4x4 Alloy Wheel Pics up now!
Thanks mate,
It means a lot!
The colour range is massive, from memory there are nearly 20 colours available.
We have access to all the colours, we will just need a 5k deposit prior to ordering colours (so I don't die with an orange truck).
See the available colours here:
http://www.expeditionvehiclesaustralia. ... olours.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On board air would be sweet, would be hard to do as an aftermarket option though!

The idea is to setup for rapid production of these units.
