Yes many issues with emails and website. Not to worry. The event is going ahead, turn up and enjoy the weekend.

You CAN nominate on the day. Nomination fees will be discounted rate as per early nomination rates you would pay online.

New track material has been made courtesy of an excavator and The Springs park owner Neil which will be suitable for Challenge and Outlaw classes.

Any competitors with new vehicles to the competition should contact Peter Kitchen at Redlands 4wd Centre just to quickly check you will have everything complied ready to race. Vehicles will be scrutineered prior to competition.

Great weekend had by Team bullet, awesome tracks and great bunch of guys…..

Got the 10hour drive done by midnight but had too much caffeine in me to get to sleep once home, so made up a few minute clip of the bullet on the stages for my sponsors.

Hi all, we back on track for round 3 and hopefully can drum up some interest down here for more trucks to travel north.

we had some local stuff to commit to, thats why we didnt do round 2.
At willowglen in a couple of weeks will try drum up some more interest.....

So, round 3, we starting to plan a week up there around the dates of round 3.
Look forward to catching up with everyone again, doesnt look like we,ll catch the zooks on the scoreboard though, :smilecolros: :smilecolros: :smilecolros: :smilecolros: but looking forward to some awesome tracks as usual. And a fun weekend.

Gday Shaun, and yeh we had fun up there in round 1.Got a 2nd and a 3rd on 2 of the 3 stages.

Tracks were challenging, class im running up there is modified so 35s max.
The 37s [CHALLENGE] class got combined with outlaw this year.

You heading down to willowglen in a couple of weeks?
If so, il see you there.

Good to hear you'll be back for round 3 mate, I like the commitment to travel. City View should present some excellent tracks.

Just to clarify though, 37's are allowed in modified class, with a large penalty though. There were a couple of cars on 37's last round. Similarly, you can run 35's in Trophy class with the same large penalty.

Looking forward to round 3, I might even polish my alloy bulbar to give me the edge in Trophy Class.

Cheers, Rick.

Cheers Ricko,

what my point was that challenge class has been merged with outlaw so all the vehicle mods associated with challenge class wouldnt be allowed back in modified...

No good whacking a set of 37s under something with 4 inch lift for example and needing to get to the 1000 pt marker to finish with 600 [and that would be a perfect run], looking at results of round 2, looks like the guys that did well were the trucks built to their specific class.

Absolutely agree. Just like people to know they can compete with the larger tyres in different classes so they can have a go and not feel compelled into a larger class.

Last year, I navied Colin in Trophy Class and we started on a borrowed set of Simex 34's (copping the penalty). After track 1, we swapped back to a bald set of Bighorn 33's as the penalty wasn't worth the better rubber.

Well, not long now til the comp and Peter says the tracks are looking good...

We looking forward to it, in saying that we nearly did destroy the old lux, and doing it tough to get it on the trailer by this friday.

We did a front diff at very 1st stage at willowglen attempting the very 1st bonus line, a log as big as my bullbar it felt like.
Being one of the smaller trucks in the field on35s {ITS A 37" CLASS} it wasnt a smart move.

Anyway we sourced a rubbish 2nd hand open one that we put in, leaving one of the longfields out as it seemed we bent a knuckle.
Limped it around the following 8stages over the weekend, basically averaging 45 points a stage, picking up points for the club as it is a team of 4 trucks, couple of zeros in that but a nice drive sun that we did get to the finish picking up the stage award, was probably one of our worst comps placewise in many years, wife and daughter had a ball none the less.

When we pulled it down after we got home we found we had broken the replacement diff and the standard axle we had put in
Meaning we had attempted the last event down there which was the mud in 2wd not knowing, no wonder we got 10points, again very embarrasing.
Got the front out all sorted now with the locker and longfields back in, then we couldnt get it running as we,d smashed the pick up in the tank,
thats all sorted now and we think we,ll attempt to try get it back on the trailer tomorrow...

So for a truck ive not had to put a spanner on in a long time, boy did things turn around, since our 4wd action photo shoot where we did a rear axle it feels like ive been driving it since with a 17mm spanner in one hand and a 19 in the other.

We looking forward to seeing everyone up there again, how many trucks now in the mod class.

Heres a clip of our driving

Have no idea of actual numbers, but I do know there'll be at least 1 more 2 stroke Suzuki in mod.

Tough Tracks round 3 2014

Another great weekend of Tough Tracks!, City View 4x4 park is pretty good, lovely camping areas, quite different in Terrain and Tracks to Janowen Hills 4x4 park.

Great as Always to see the Zook’s out in force! ..Great Drives and navigating By Aaron and Darren in both the Green LJ50 AND the Brown LJ80 Stockman..

Great to see the Strong supporters for Bruce in Casper..

I must say it was impressive to see Aaron Attack the hill on the 2nd track on Saturday and make it past the 1000 point marker!, Congrats mate

Also I loved seeing the Camo painted 2 stroke LJ50 in action, Wayne[3 cyl ] sure can put on a show haha!
