Need a interstate tow for my 80s
Hi all, I have just moved back to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast qld and my much loved 80s is still there as no transpirt company want to touch it as they say it's to highly modified, so my question is does anyone out there know if any company's that tow modified 4x4s or is there anyone that would do it privately? I'm happy to pay good $ to get my truck to Sydney safely and in one peace 4inch lifted, standed wheels are on car but 33s are in cab, twin swing aways, bullbar, lights winch etc also has a roof basket. Can send pics if someone is interested in towing it for me...
if you think im slow now wait till im in low rang, diffrence between now and when i was a child is the price of my toys....

Fly up and drive it back? You can get real cheap flights $60-70 if you're flexible.

I'm not sure that he's flexible in the same way that you are.

http://www.triktrailers.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; do one way trailer hire and it did ok with my 40 full of crap.. however if you do go that route check that the tie down points on the trailer you pick up are suitable.. my 40 is no where as big as an 80 so it might need bit more strength in the tie down points.. they were pretty good to deal with for the most part.
Re: Need a interstate tow for my 80s
I would fly up and drive it back but the car has no rego or a rwc and Idont want to do it as I'm just going to do the whole rego thing down here in Sydney, as for trailering it back I don't have a car to do it otherwise I'd do that aswell.

Re: Need a interstate tow for my 80s
shame this isn't in a few months, i'll be doing runs up to queensland regularly once my car is finished and i'll be doing it in a 22t pantech. But if you're going to get someone to tow it down after driving up to get it then it's likely to be quite a few bob in fuel at the very minimum. Bugger of a spot to be in.
I'd be looking at a "permit to move" which not only allows you to move it on the road but gives you insurance along the way
