Yes it is a very family friendly event but unfortunatly due to insurance and past event experience's there will not be any passengers allowed in any competing vehicles adult or children. The only exception to this will be in our water based course. This track will involve water crossings so with that we cant expect navigators to walk on water so they will be allowed in the competing vehicle. So to get this strait, one track, one driver, one in car navigator from start to finish, both driver and navi MUST WHERE HELMETS and SEAT BELTS while on the track, navi may exit the vehicle to assist (navigation and track packing) on the dry section of the course only and must re-enter the vehicle befor re-entering the wet stuff (seat belt will be reinspected for navi by track marshal). I hope this all makes sense.
Dont forget to pre book your camping if your planing on being a camping spectator as cleared area is limited.

So the only track the navi is allowed in the car is the mud event? How many stages are run and on what days will they be on?

There are 8 tracks in total. All tracks run over sat/sun. At this stage the only run order we have is that the water event must be done by standard and modified on the saturday as the open and outlaw will be doing this track on sat night and by all accounts will make this track undriveable for the standard vehicles by sun. There may be a fixed run order anounced closer to the event (pending on total comp cars) but this descission is yet to be finalised.

With only two weeks to go its getting really close now, entries are still open but you better hurry up! We still have room left in the camping ground for spectators but as mentioned befor pre booking camping is esential as its first in best spots and you wouldnt want to be camped in the shrubery!! Gates open to competitors and campers at midday friday and spectators 7.30am saturday. Event will be well sign posted on the putty rd and to those that have been to sorra in the past (DIFFERENT GATE) our gate is 1km closer to sydney than the main sorra gate.

Scoring is going to be fairly easy, tracks are 0 to 100, hill climb also have the slowest time, this comes into play in the pointy end of things.

Travel ramp is as far as you get point wise

The camp ground is two wheel drive accessable even truck accessable, that is as long as we dont get anymore rain like today, even the best graded tracks turn to a slippery clay after a huge down pour. Main track in is very flat tho and worst case senario i belive there may even be a few 4wds turning up that might know something about bogged cars!!

A big thanks to on all 4s for another well run and organised event. Mel and I had fun taking the rattler around the tracks. Hope to see this event again next year. Top work.

Thanks to all of you competitors and spectators for making this event so enjoyable, im so glad the weather gods took pity on us (atleast sat/sun and part of mon) as leading up to it wasnt looking promissing and even some of the access tracks were nearing outlaw class, but it dried up and all was well. A big thanks to scott from Penrith Offroad Warehouse for all his support and a special thanks to a few of his staff who went out of their way to help us marshal on sat night and odd job on sun (thanks turtle). We were there real late last night packing up but we got it all out of their and i have to complement the campers on how clean the campsite was left which shows me how much u guys appreciate what we do. From my point of veiw i think the comp was a great success and with zero misshaps our medic was one relaxed fellow unlike me who think a fitness plan may b in order if we decide to run it again ( i think i lost a few kilos in all the bedlam). I really hope u guys liked what we did and im sure sorra will love us back there so fingers crossed hey!!

On behalf of the Lithgow crew a huuuge thanks for all the work that went into hosting this event. It was great to back at Sorra again and loved the camping areas. So good to be sleeping on flat ground.
Hopefully this can be the first of many comps to come at Sorra - loved being so close to home.
Congrats to all the guys and gals that got to take home some Bling for their good driving skills.
Massive thanks to Penrith Offroad for sponsoring

Cheers
