trailer info help

Post by Lepa »

a fair while ago there was a car trailer in the classifieds for sale that had an atm of 3500kgs and the trailer only weighed 450kgs. can anyone help me to who had or now has this trailer as i'm wanting to know who manufactured it.

or......

i'm could be in the market for a car trailer to be made with an atm of 4500ks that had a minimal tare wieght. (it'll be towed by a truck so car towing limits not an issue)

any help is appricated. thanks lepa

I wouldn't want to be towing heavy loads with a lightweight trailer.

the trailer i am thinking of had been engineered with holes drilled in different members to reduce the tare weight, while still being well built (as could as you could tell in photos!)

Where I work, the engineers in the factory cut big holes into chassis webs to reduce the tare weight. Super light weight skels. Not long after they had to replace all the customers chassis' as they started to snap in half going down the highway.
