Nominations are now open for the 1st round of the year.

Please note all nominations and payment must be received by Friday 20 June 2014.

Venue: Landcruiser Mountain Park

Dates: 4 - 6 July 2014

Catering: Available from Friday night to Sunday lunch

Camping: TBA

Spectator Friendly: Yes

Scruitineering: From 2pm to 5pm Friday

Racing starts: 7pm Friday

Format: The format for Round 1 has changed a little this year.

Friday night will still have 2 stages under lights.

Saturday’s stages will consist of 2 stages before lunch. 1 will be a 2 hour stage with multiple cars on track while the other winch stage will be run at the same time.

After lunch there will be another 2 stages. Depending on the time and light left in the day there could be 1 winch stage and 1 speed stage back to camp or 2 winch stages.

Sunday will have its famous side by side racing to complete the weekends racing. Followed by presentation shortly after.

There will be GPS waypoints to find and stages will be spectator friendly.

Stirlo & Jubbo are off to Landcruiser Park this weekend for Offroad 2014 (3 - 4 May 2014) to watch and find an area for Round 1 (4-6 July 2014).

Round 1 is less than 2 weeks away. We are looking forward to catching up with everyone and running our new style tracks on the weekend.

For those who wanted to know more about the 2 hour stage on Saturday it will be a mixture of side by side racing with GPS, speed and multiple winch hills.

We will be leaving for the Park this Saturday morning and will be there all week.

We are packed and ready to leave for the park tomorrow morning early. We will be up there all week now. If you need to contact me you can either leave a message on my phone (0439 885 807) and I will contact back. If it is urgent you can leave a message for me with the park office.

We will be camping at Trakka Terrace this round.

Please make sure that you sign in at the office upon arrival, even if you are running late.

Don't forget to bring warm clothes with you.

[SSS Winch Challenge]

Just a quick reminder about bringing warm clothes. It wasn't too cool on Saturday night but started chilling off as of last night. We caught the tail of a storm on Saturday night which has kept the dust down quite nicely. The days have been lovely, blue skies and sunny however it does get a bit cool in the shade when the wind gets up.

Stirlo & Jubbo have already got the 2 stages on Friday night already picked out, which I'm sure everyone is going to love. They started setting up the 2 hour stage yesterday mid morning and hopefully will be finished the majority by this afternoon.

They will be collecting lots of fire wood this week for Friday night at the 2 stages for everyone and Saturday night for dinner.

I'll continue to check messages and give another update on Wednesday...

Well what a great turn out for Round 1!

There was a lot of good feedback at the weekend from competitors (past & present), officials & spectators which was really awesome & appreciated. It was encouraging and promising which is nice as it isn't always easy to put an event together, making sure it runs smoothly whilst trying to keep everyone happy.

People seemed to really like the tracks!! Planning had already started on Sunday to make the tracks & stages better for Round 2...

It was also really good to catch up with a couple of our sponsors on the weekend (Matthew Luke from QDAD and Bec from Bec-Kay Photography) as well. Bec has also been posting up some great pictures on facebook.

Congratulations to British Offroad (1st), Pissed & Broke (2nd) and BT Racing (3rd).

We would like to thank all the sponsors, competitors, officials, & spectators for a great weekend.

We would also like to thank Helen & Alben for allowing us to use their property and Ray for the catering.

Also a big thanks to Mosko for everything, he is definitely the best Ambassador for the 4x4 sport!
