Hi guys and gals
This is my first post so be forgiving please. I recently lost 5th gear and i don't mean I've put it somewhere and can't remember where i left it. i mean
its gone all bar a faint metallic grinding noise which I'm sure we can all agree isn't heaps choice. Besides that I have noise which sounds like somebody
has replaced my transmission fluid with marbles while it idles in neutral and again that's not ideal.
My question is do i have any other options than replacing it with the same box? I understand it needs replacing but can i use the rb30 box for example
to give me better ratios for highway km's ( planning on more touring than hardcore offroad). Is there other options to for example use a different
(less crap) box with a conversion?
Im not really sure of my options and would be very thankful for the help as i don't really think much of my new custom 4 speed.
Thankyou kindy

RD28t Gearbox hates life!
Re: RD28t Gearbox hates life!
Gq or Gu?
If its a Gq both boxes are interchangeable. Im currently running a rd28 box with my Rb30.
Gu box is different due to sensors as far as I know.
There are no other gearbox options that will work easily.
