RUMBLE RULES
EVENT FORMAT
The event will consist of a qualifying stage and three timed stages( possibly more ). The start order for the qualifying stage will be the order in which fully paid entries are received by the event organiser. The qualifying stage will be used to obtain a start order for the first stage. The vehicles will then be started at equal time intervals between cars . A vehicle that has a DNF on the qualifying stage will have the car number drawn from a hat with other cars that had a DNF in qualifying to obtain their start order at the rear of the field. The start order for the second stage will be in the order of the fastest times from the first stage will start first on the second stage and so on. A car that has a DNF on any stage will have their car number drawn from a hat to give a start order at the rear of the field for each stage following the stage on which the DNF occurred. If a vehicle is not ready to compete at its allotted time it may be moved to a later start time towards the rear of the field.
To win the event a vehicle must complete all three timed stages without a DNF, The vehicle with the fastest overall time for the three stages added together after penalty times have been added will be deemed the winner.
There is only one vehicle class OUTLAW CLASS tyre size and vehicle specs unlimited
RULES
1. Each team will consist of a driver and navigator, single seat vehicles are still required to have a navigator. Both the driver and navigator are required to have a current drivers licence. The swapping between driver and navigator is permitted provided all other rules are met. The replacement of a team member is permitted once and once only (ie once swapped you can’t swap back for the entire event). An official must be notified that this change is going to occur or a penalty will be incurred. The possible substitute team member must be named on the original entry form and must meet all other event criteria. Any team found to have a team member not named on the original entry form will be disqualified from the event unless written approval for the substitution is obtained from the event manager.
2. It is prohibited to consume or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while competing in THE RUMBLE ON THE ROCKS. Breath tests may be carried out at random and the return of a positive reading will mean immediate disqualification from the event
3. Both driver and navigator are required to wear a AS1698 approved helmet at all times whilst on a stage. A full face helmet is required with visor, goggles or safety glasses unless the vehicle has a windscreen fitted.
4. The vehicle occupants are not permitted to have any limbs or body parts outside a moving vehicle at any time.
5. All competitors must wear, Enclosed shoes, Long pants (shorts not permitted) , t shirts minimum (long sleeve shirts preffered) , singlets not permitted.
6. Out side assistance from any other person whether a member of the public or another team member (other than the driver or navigator) while competing on a stage is prohibited and will result in a penalty or a DNF on that stage.
7. There will be a designated area for vehicle repairs when required after a stage. All work is to be carried out in this area or a time penalty will occur. If a vehicle cannot get to the designated area due to breakages arrangements need to be made with the event manager before any repairs are carried out.
8. Vehicle refuelling will not be permitted while competing on a stage, and must be carried out in a safe and responsible manner in an area away from spectators.
9. There will be no abusive language or behaviour tolerated to or by any person whatsoever and will result in immediate disqualification from the event.
10. This event is self recovery. Any vehicle that is disabled on the track will be required to clear the track immediately in whatever way possible to allow passage of following competitors, any vehicle that cannot clear the track themselves or with the help of other competitors must notify an official straight away and that official will then be in charge of the recovery.
11. The passing of slower vehicles is allowed and must be done in a safe manner. When you intend to pass a slower vehicle you are required to sound your horn, and if possible announce your intention on the uhf to that car number (politely). The car being overtaken will make every effort to allow the faster car passage at the first reasonable time possible.
12. Waffle boards are permitted to be used but must be securely stowed so that they cannot fall out of a vehicle or cause injury , A snatch strap is permitted to hold a vehicle. (no other sort of rope permitted). The navigator or any other person is not permitted to touch a moving vehicle. Full Fingered Gloves must be worn by navigator at all times and by driver when not in the vehicle. (except for mechanical repairs).
13. The course will be bunted where necessary and all vehicles must remain four wheels inside the course, a time penalty will occur
14. Any team found to be cheating, deliberately interfering with another team or in any other manner showing unsportsman like behaviour will be penalised or disqualified from the event, this will be at the discretion of the event manager.
15. All vehicles must meet the approval criteria to be able to compete. Scrutineering will be carried out before the allotted start time and any vehicle not meeting the criteria will have 30mins to bring their vehicle up to specifications and may be removed to the rear of the start order. Any vehicle not ready after the 30 mins will not be allowed to participate. ( NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ).
16. All protests will be given in writing to the event manager and their decision will be final.
17. No vehicle entering the competition shall be permitted to drive any of the stages being used in this event for a period of one week prior to the commencement of the event.
18. Vehicle registration is not required
VEHICLE SPECIFICATIONS
1. All vehicles will have a minimum 6 point roll cage, the cage must be adequate for the size and weight of vehicle and constructed to a professional standard and securely fitted to the occupant area of vehicle.
2. Shoulder height taxi bars required in all vehicles
3. A minimum 4 point racing harness for driver and navigator with harness belting that is not frayed or damaged in any way. The harnesses are to be correctly fitted and adjusted at all times. Neck braces recommended.
4. Each vehicle will have a battery isolator switch which will disable the engine and all electrics and within easy reach of both driver and navigator while in their harnesses.
5. Each vehicle must have a solid roof , the roof must be constructed out of either 2mm steel, 3mm aluminium or 5mm high impact plastic. (factory roof is acceptable)
6. Each vehicle must have side impact protection either factory, steel , aluminium or high impact plastic as above.
7. All vehicles will have window nets and will cover a minimum of 70percent of the window opening and prevent any limbs from exiting the vehicle in the event of a rollover. Window nets are to be easily opened from in and outside the vehicle. cable ties or tape is not acceptable
8. All vehicles will have a working UHF radio tuned to competition channel throughout entire event.
9. Spare wheels if carried must be securely fitted to the vehicle and not able to come off during a rollover or impact.
10. All vehicles will have 2 by 1kg fire extinguishers within easy reach of both driver and navigator.
11. A first aid kit is required to be carried in each vehicle with its location clearly marked
12. All vehicles will have headlights or equivalent
13. All vehicles must have a working horn loud enough to be heard over a revving engine
14. Tail lights or red reflectors required on the back of each vehicle (minimum two)
15. All vehicles will require a working rated winch
16. All vehicles require suitable recovery points two front and two at the rear of the vehicle and securely mounted to the vehicle chassis by two 12mm or four 10mm grade 5 bolts and be constructed from 10mm x 75mm plate or larger and be capable of accepting a 4.7t rated shackle. Recovery points will be painted red. Eye bolts are not acceptable as recovery points.

5 1x wheel brace suited to the vehicle

ALL RECOVERY EQUIPMENT MUST BE IN A SERVICLE CONDITION INCUDING WINCH CABLES AND WILL BE INSPECTED AT SCRUTINEERING BEFORE STARTING THE EVENT
PENALTIES
1 Failure to call clear winching 10 minutes
2 Failure to correctly use winch cable dampener (centre 3rd of cable for steel cable and a the hook for plasma, second dampener after change of cable direction 10 minutes
3 Failure to use cable dampener 20 minutes
4 Touch live cable when winching 20 minutes
5 Step over or under live cable (once hook is connected) 30 minutes
6 Fail to wear gloves 30 minute
7 Causing risk to any person 30 minutes
8 Outside assistance 30 minutes/ DNF
9 Driving with any body part outside of vehicle 30 minutes
10 Fail to wear helmet or harness 1st warn 30 minutes second warn 60 minutes 3rd warning disqualification
11 Fail to close window nets while vehicle is moving 30 minutes
12 Ride on or touch a moving vehicle 30 minutes
13 Alcohol or drug use Disqualification
14 Unsportsmanlike or abusive behaviour (after one warning) Disqualification
15 Not follow officials direction 30 minutes
16 Overtake in a dangerous manner 30minutes/ disqualification
17 Fail to give way or interfere with overtaking vehicle 30 minutes/ disqualification
18 Cheating 30 minutes/ disqualification
