GQ chassis extension, Help needed.

Post by fatgqtd42 »

Hi all,

Done a day of searching and haven't found what I am looking for.

Chasing pics and info on extending my GQ shorty chassis. Obviously I am cutting the body but want to extend it about a metre or so. Reason for doing it is I have spent way to much coin on it to sell and it has every traction aid and strengthened part under it aswell as bulk power and engine mods.

The arse end is bent up from years off road so looking at dropping a tray on and even toyed with the idea of a proper 6x6 deal using an adaptor from multi drive systems.

I do a lot of hunting and roo shooting so it will incorporate that a lot more rather then using quad and get rid of some rego's.

Cheers for any help.

How about using a lwb chassis. Or do you need longer.
Chop your chassis and extend with a lwb chassis
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

Going to stretch it out for roo shooting with a decent size cab for guns and everything else behind seats. It could be raced just needs a cage so pointless selling as its capable in its current form. Be a bit different longer though and it will be a tad longer then a lwb chassis only because I will lose to much tray with extra cab.

Mate mofified a 75 series cruiser into a true all terrain 6x6
Even featured in 4wd action
total build cost was SERIOUS BUCKS
even when he did all the chassis work.
minimum 6figure project

all you do is press up and follow the chassis C section
size and material thickness.
Make it look factory and laminate the sides
top and bottom

run by the engineer and should be fine as you go

mates past with flying colours

actualy its for sale at a local car yard.
theyve had it for AGES
last time I was going past
fully locked arb 6x6 drive landcruiser.

The rear diff drive was nearly 10k on its own
if I can recall
even put you onto the company that did the diff work
seriously
youd be soo FAR in front buying it
save yourself mega bucks
its un stoppable !!
