Kill Switch on Diesel 40#

Post by billy_bokkie »

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if someone can help me out. I have a Shorty 40 that has a 2H diesel engine in it and I have spent a bit of money doing it up lately.

I want to put a kill switch in her but due to my electrical ineptness I have no idea how to wire it up. If anyone has any diagrams or info it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,

CAMBO

kill switch for what? To stop the engine? or to stop theft? Either way id suggest a fuel cutoff solenoid. Ive toyed with the idea of fitting a manual tap inline with my fuel line hidden under the car somewhere. that way if anyone ever steals the car they will only get a few feet before the engine runs out of fuel. To stop diesels, you need to stop the fuel. Which is what the edic motor does. IF you require a wiring diagram for the wiring of the ignition switch and edic motor check the workshop manual.
