Spoke to a bloke who got one 3 weeks ago, he said the dealer was telling him that they're bringing a V6 engine to replace the V8. I have searched and not found anything, so think it is hocus pocus.

Overseas models include a v6 so could be an option.

I'm not sure i could go back to a 6 after the 8 .....
I tried to locate details of the 6 turbo's mentioned in current or coming but found nothing. I might stir up a couple of dealers in july/august and feel them out.

The V6 may be a petrol replacement. The 4 litre V6 from the prado/hilux is close to making the same output as the 4.6 V8 petrol currently in the 200 series.

Also it's eight years since the 200 was introduced. The landcruiser is typically replaced every 8-10 years. I wouldn't be buying a new 200 right now.

Apparently 5 kw more with minor changes to emission shite. New lights front and maybe rear and few minor changes. Oct release im told means they start building then so likely nov dec they arrive but no dealer can tell me. 300 series they suggested was half the pics online thats still a couple of years off.
