105 rear axle into an 80 ?

Post by BJ73 »

I busted the rear RHS axle today in my 80 today.

It had the hub stud holes bored out to accept the 100 series hub studs ( which are 10mm not 8 or 9)

Could I just get a 105 rear axle and slide it straight in without having to do the hub stud bore-out, like what I'd have to do If I get a stock 80 series one ? This would be much easier.

Cheers

Hey! Who are you calling a dickhead! ?

Flanges and hubs are different too.
Holes are spaced differently and axle flange is larger diameter
