110 trayback to 110 hardtop

Post by uninformed »

Just an idea that popped into my head. How hard would it be to covert my 110 tray back to a 110 hard top. I know that i would nead a rear tub, roof, sides, back door. etc. My roof and cab back would go. Its this or a custom tray. I'm just a bit sick of everything being out in the weather and accessable to light hands. Any idea of the costs for the body parts? If you have any ideas for a tray let me know.

cheers, Serg

can be done...

BUT - finding the parts if you can't find a wriecked hardtop would deffinately be a PITA...
You could use series landy sides which i think are the same lenght, series rear tail gate and upper window...easy to find

Wrecked 110 roof, but then find a tub off a 110 ute (hard)

Lots of phoning around - could be an import job but $$$$$

like dave said, its expensive.
the parts you need are usually the trashed parts in a write off.
one thing you could do is put a s111 rear tub on. cut 100mm off where it would bolt up at the seatbox. then youm have options for a roof of just solid ute lid/tarp.
this way none of the cab needs altering which is a pita.
one bloke i know does a bit of this stuff, anthony at british4x4 in melb.
yeah, i've gone through these thoughts before
good luck,
david
