4Wd ing

Post by Rich »

Thanks for the replies Guys. Great to hear from a few people close by to me. I am originally from Queensland ( Townsville) I moved to Newcastle because of my work, Because of that I don't know any of the 4Wd Tracks around the Newcastle area so that's why I am trying to meet a few people ( I don't know many people here either).
I am keen to tag along with you guys on some of your trips, but I am a beginner at 4WDing, I have only had my Feroza 3 weeks and its my first 4WD.
So be gentle as to where you invite me, no killer tracks for at least another 3 weeks eh !

depends on what ya call a good run em.. it's no slippery rock, but there's enuf stuff to keep us occupied, specially if ya driving a roza  definately be worth coming up if ya stay the night  bring ur skirt with ya too (i mean ryan :D )

hehe, don't worry rich, i just like revving em up sometimes :D wallaroo is just past raymond terrace, on the left of the pacific hwy going out of newy. have a look in the trips and tracks for the last trip we did there... gives ya a bit of an idea, and there's a couple of photos. layton, birlo, and i are going, think duff (andrew, drives a big shorty patrol) is bringing a few mates, and prolly a coupla others will come along. last trip we had 4-5 cars, which is a good number

italia road is one way of getting into wallaroo, there's a few little tracks off to ur right... and one major dirt road that takes you in, think it's called italia trail/track... go right along onto that and turn right at the T or Y intersection...

only pick on u cos u pick on me :P

it's in two weeks... 15/16th. if you guys are coming up we'll organise a meeting time that suits ya... say 5am :D what is it, like 3 hrs to newcastle from the gong? prolly 10am or something like that i guess...
can give ya directions later to where we're gonna meet.

plan is something like: meet up, chat, look at cars, compare stories and dents. drive to wallaroo, do a brief tour, play in some ruts or on some hills. lunch, chat, drive, chat, drive.... pitch camp, cook, eat, drink, be merry, sleep. wake up, stumble around for a while until everyone wakes up, eat, pack up, drive, chat, drive, lunch.... go home :D

what else do ya need to know?
