Disco and Def. Recall

Post by Red Disco »

Hi,
the recent highly discussed recall regarding all Discos and Def. my99 onwards is about to be actioned by PAG/ Landrover Australia.
I'm booked in for next week and I'm told that most owners will be contacted over the next month or so... :)
It's good to see that it is finally going to happen even though the campain has been public knowledge now since March 22

the recall has got to do with the ABS and ACE systems 99-04 plus a sticking throtle on 04 model. this link tells more:

I had these done last week.

the ACE is checking and tightening a clam bolt or something.

The ABS is the changing of some plate in the system to a thicker one. With this I did notice a harder pedal and less spongyness
Cheers

In typical Landrover fashion you will probably come out with more probs than they fix !!!
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
