PICS OF THE ZOOK FORUM RIGS

Post by stumped »

ferog gave me the idea...

put up one post with ur rig, specs, a pic, wishlist, and info like who u are if ya want. don't ask questions or chitchat etc... search, PM, or start another thread if ya want more info. edit ur post and change the pic if u want another one up there, or put in a link to ur members page.

just have this thread so ppl can easily compare zooks and see what they like, with added bonus of matching a name/face/car/whatever to ur posts

I'm Steve

Live in Melbourne, totalled my first zook (91 tin Top), wasn't happy with its setup, lack of gears and inadequate suspension plus MTR's suck so doin another made more sense

I now own an 88 Sierra, my second - Stricktly a budget ride with low Weight & COG stability being the top priority.

Standard Engine, Gearbox with 6:1 tcase gears.

34X10.5 Swamper LTB's on 2 inch back spaced rims.

OME rears all round SPUA with N76 Shocks up front and soon to be in the rear (Sigma Monroes ATM)

Welded rear diff, front Air locker soon hopefully

Still to be done:
Beadlocks
Roll Cage
Fresh Engine

I have no respect for my panels or paint.

ZOOK HAS BEEN SOLD

I thought that rather that writing down what modifications have been done to my car, I'd list what parts are still original on it instead.

* Chassis (though it has been modified)
* Front indicators (mounted differently though)
* Number Plates (have extra holes drilled in them and the back one has some rock rash too).
* Front Axels (less one CV), Front Axel Housing, Front Diff Housing (modified and rock rashed).
* Rear Axels, Rear Axel Housing (handbrake removed, Rear Diff Housing (Modified and rock rashed).
* Handbrake Lever (has been painted and connected to a NT handbrake cable though).
* X-fer case lever (has been modifed and shortened and connected to a different case though).
* Front Brakes and Hubs etc.
* Rear Brakes and Hubs etc - though the handbrake is no longer used.
* Hard Brake Lines
* Hard Fuel Lines (modifed at rear for new fuel tank though)
* Raditor (soon to be replaced though)
* Raditor brackets (modified for intercooler mounts though)
* U-Bolts (but rear ones have been shortened)
* Some other driveshaft bolts and various other nuts and bolts on the car.

I think that's about it.

Hi all,

Thought I'd post up a quick piccie. My name's Andrew, and I drive a white Grand Vitara soft top.

Mods are pretty tame, but have made a huge different over stock.

GV LWB coils all round (2.5" lift)
OME struts
Ranchos up back
235/75 A/TRs
SAWTRON  UHF

Planned (one day ):
lockers
tube front... maybe rear

When it gets to that stage, I think it may be time to look for something a little less limited than a Vit, but for the moment, she's good fun for learning on ;)

 First GV on the members page! C'Mon, I can't be the only one. I know there's one here with some pretty umm... bright... yellow bits on it.
