swayin in the breeze...

Post by SiKiD_01 »

can anyone tell me any info on removing sway bar on the front of a vitara? i know how to do it, its more, should i do it?

are/ will there be any problems from doing this? any experiences?
i've heard of drive shafts being pulled out of the hub assembly on independant suspension cars at full droop/flex. is this true?

thanks

i did mine

didn't notice any negative effects on road at all, off road made a bit of difference. i've got 2inch strut spacers plus the longer old man emu struts in the front of mine and have never had a driveshaft pull out, so it should be all good ;)

Do it. I've barely noticed any difference since it "fell off" in the garage.

What you also desperately need to do is get rid of those rear shocks though. That is such a crap flex shot :D

Fine with the amount of lift you've got - as you have similar to Antt and I now. MX62 Cressida - ask for them by name- 600mm long

Dont use them with stock springs though or they'll be useless - no compression.

If you have little lift you need something like HQ shocks 520mm long - same as OME

I have heard of commodore VP shocks being used (740mm) :D

i just went into supercheap, looked in the gabriel book for toyota cressida, and they're the sedan one's, i think iirc the wagon ones are only 450mm or something extended, cost like $70 for the pair :D
