3.4 V6 into hilux

Post by Luv to 4B »

Hey i have the oppotunity to get a real cheap 3.4L Quad cam V6 prado motor, gearbox and T case. I have a 2.8D hilux and am thinking of doing a heart transplant. What do you guys think of this motor:

power? reliability? ease of conversion? has anyone done this?

all comments would be appreciated thanks.

transfer case out put is on the wrong side, motor is too tall to fit into an early model IFS truck or gen1, they dont make as much useable power as other motors and have a habbit of flogging the harmonics which are expensive.

how cheap is cheap?
