dropped radius arms

Hi
Maybe some remember me from post before. I had a big problem with shimmy on my GU. To solve it I had change wheel bearing, install new rock rod - drag link, changed bushes on panhard rod and still had the problem. As soon as the shimming started I had to slow down to stop it. Last idea was to install dropped down boxes or those new radius arms. I choose the radius arms. Helped. The shimmy has stopped. All the problems has started with installing the RTC steering dumper and with it on it was worse then with ARB dumper. After the installation of those arms I still had on the ARB Old man emu dumper, and it was fine. Today I put on the RTC dumper. I was told it should not get worse. I have done just a short test drive with it but I think I can say it did get worse a little bit. Can anyone explain why is that? Those RTC dumpers are designed to help with steering if you have large tyres so why mine is not helping?

Could it be because of the coilspring on the RTC, reducing the dampening effectiveness of minor vibrations, during normal road use???

Ive never been a fan of the RTC dampers. Had a few prob, siezing, dead spots, broken springs.
Wenr back to OME ones probs went away. Sell it.

? what arms did you fit??

Those dropped down radius arms from Snake racing so I could remove caster plates. It made 100% improvement but only with ARB dumper.
If the RTC are too agresive on self centering is there a way to adjust them? Wanted to go today to "4way suspension" shop where I bought them and talk to them but I'm to busy with work. Hope I can get there by the end of this week and get explanation or money back. Bought it to make my steering better, was told it will work for sure, spent 3k to make it work and still doesn't work. !$#@!# me off.

I definitely agree with wendle on that one. I think I have the same problem with mine at the moment.
Everyone says that they are the shit but I think in my case this could be a prob.

Too much self centering when you hit a bump.

I was lucky and had some spare time today so I went to 4Way suspension shop and took the dumper back. I was told it sounds like the shocker is not working correctly. They gonna pull it a part and check it. Let you know what they will find out.

I run 7" of spring lift, 5.5 degrees castor bushes, 37" Procomp Xterrains, 16x10 Mickey Thompson Classic II copies and one of the heavy duty RTC steering dampeners and NO shakes what-so-ever. The car stays in the lane and can be driven at highway speeds with 1 hand on the wheel without fear of it jumping all over the place.

I got a few vibes when I was running my 35" Cooper STs but the new wheels and tyres (which were pretty true even before some small weights to balance) have made all the difference.

The have duty RTC cost me A$300
