tube bending.

Post by Eddywelder »

who does tube bending?
I am looking at fabbing a new roll bar for my 40 series cruiser but cant find anyone to bend up the tube for me...unfortunatly the bender at work wont do it as there isnt a suitable size die for the tube that I want bent.
Looking at getting 60 o/d with 2.5 mm wall thickness and small radius bends..
I know there are exhaust places out there but they only do thin wall 1.6 mm max...
thanks people.

Could you hire a bender for a day that would do the job?

If you can hire a bender to do the job, go with that. otherwise u will need a engineering mob to do it 4 u. pipe bending is pretty easy. i bent side rails using 48mm(od) 3mm(wall) pipe with a small hydralics jack type bender, fairly simply. However the larger size pipe with tight bends could be tricky
