does anyone know where in aust you can get parabolic springs to suit a sierra and roughly what they cost?
are they a good investment ??????

I'm pretty sure that all aftermarket sierra springs will not require relocation of the spring perches.

The only reason my front spring perches were moved was because we put rear (longer) springs in the front.

The poop on the parabolics is that they can carry a load OK but are not all that well rated in the flex department. Compared to a traditional leaf spring they also lack a certain amount of "tunability" as it is very difficult to add or subtract leaves (adding some thicker short leaves helps the load carraying of the spring without sacrifing to much in the way of "droop")

What effect does removing the 2nd smallest leaf have on the rear springs? Will it sag or give more articulation ????. Not interested in carying heavy loads just want to have better wheel travel and a softer ride

It will soften it up and possibly allow more axle wrap

what shocks do you recomend . ont wanna relocate mounts but want something thall be better offroad with the softer springs and need to be cheap

The only shocks that exist and are cheap are used shocks. Seriously, I found that old stock shocks gave the best ride on a sierra. You'll have to spend some money to get new shocks that give a softer ride. Mostly you'll find that with springs so stiff, unless you add some weight to the car, then the soft shocks won't really do much..
