tyres hitting leaves

Post by Spartacus »

put the 31's on the rocky and discoverd something...

at almost full lock the tyres hit the leaves..

what would be a legal way of spacing them out further :?:
as far as i now i cant do anythin legal to fix it.
( 1 inch wheel spacer would be good)

it is a road car...

cheers mullet :evilbat:

Wheel spacers are ilegal and can not be engineered on any vehicle. THe best way to fix this would be to change the off-set on ya rims, but this will wear ya wheel bearings quicker. With my rocky (which is for sale too cause i bout a zook) i just adjusted the steering stops so it didn't touch. Too easy to do. If ya want rocky parts i got a stuff on my car check my members thread and there is more too, so feel free to post. With the rims zook rims will fit, and a couple of my mates have way masssive offset, works great on my rocky, but so do there MT/R's :D
good luck with the work, will miss my f75, esp the turbo diesel grunt instead of hte hampster engine in the zook, but there ultimatley is more potential with it

But then there are legal issues regarding track width in Qld. My 31's touch the leaves, mind you, my 30's do too. Adjust the steering stops, or just learn to live with it.

No problem with 30s on mine. Even with 31s at full lock surprising.
I'm running -15 offsets.

just get an angle grinder and grind the leaves. you only need to take a little bit off. you stay legal and you keep your steering range.

Eight inch rims. My 32's scrub on the leaves on the F20, I'm planning to notch the leaves as NAM suggested...I also need to lift my Mav, any ideas NAM? Tonka? Gotta run some DeHYRO in the tyres, and...

why not just notch the tyres?

only cut till you can see the radials... otherwise you might do some damage...

What rims are you running now, stockers I imagine :D

I've got 2" offset rims on my zook with 31" xterrains and I have no spring rub but it's not far off. It's pretty spot on actually :D

I live in Strathpine too 5 mins away so if you wanna trial fit my rims and tyres on your Rocky we might be able to sort something out ;) Daihatsu/ sierra rims are interchangeable so it would be sweet

And no jokes about my tyres being stolen, Bray Park has a reputation too :finger:

Let me know dude ;)
