Somebody with a K&N pod want to try this?

Somebody with a K&N pod want to try this?
Try hooking up your K&N like this and then go for a drive and see if you notice any difference.
David
So is anyone going to try it? It isn't hard to make the change.....
My theory is Daihatsu didn't put that long twisted piece of pipe there for the hell of it- it would have been a lot easier to just run the pipe directly to the standard air filter canister instead of how it's been done........
SOMEBODY TRY IT!!!!!

yeah, I put it in that position......
First I had the normal piping with the originally installed air filter assembly. Then I threw out the whole stuff and only the resonance chamber on top of the valve cover and the first part of the piping with a K&N was left. Big "sucking" sound when accelarating and I felt some increase in torque.
Now, after modifying and having installed the Hurricane extractors ( yeah, mine is a LHD ) I was afraid, that the intake air temp would go up even more as with the previous installation with the heat shield on the cast-iron headers.
I added the "extra pipe" with the U-turn, just like shown in Davids pic.
I have not been to a torque tester, but I feel an improvement even more as during the first change. May as well come from the newly installed 2 1/4" piping with the cherry bomb silencer .
Seems to be a good idea to add the extra pipe from my opinion.
