What's the go with the Air Flow Meter on a Vitara EFI? I get the impression that they don't come with them and need some sorting or something along those lines?

Do you mean what do they use to measue the incomming charge of air ?? As in is it a mass air sensor, Hot wiire of dof the use a MAP sensor ...

What i meant was:
When installing a vitara 1600 into a sierra i know there there are certain processes to be performed. i.e. matching the engine to a sierra 5 speed, oil sump and pickup etc.
Is there some kind of trick required with the air flow meter too? i get the impression that there is.

Thanks Chris - i think that's pretty standard with all EFI type engines - i'm just wondering if there is a trick requried to get the motor into a sierra and have it working correctly though.

I am unaware of any "special" requirements .. have a look on Izook.com I am pretty sure that they have a detailed descriotion on there of a 16V install, So long as you get the air flow sensor with the motor you should be good to go ..

The 1.6 in my GV has an airflow meter... so I am guessing so would the more recent Vitaras (same engine as I understand it)...
