is there a quick and painless way to get these in/out?

Looks like you need arms of a newborn to get inside the door....

remove winder, remove panel from door.
If u wind the window right up. Then undo the 4 bolts around the winder followed by the 2 bolts towards the opening edge of the door. now u need to unbolt the mechanism from the bottom of the glass.
Push the winder into the door and slowly push the glass down until u see the bolts in the small holes in the door panel, undo bolts. winder should now fall of bottom of glass. lift out from bottom of door
Hope u can understand my explanation.
