dizzy and oil pan......

Post by SimplyPV »

hey fellas.. got a question.... since i slapped on my intake to the jap. applause engine... i've noticed that the dizzy on the applause motor doesnt have any of the vacuum hoses needed so i slapped on my orginal dizzy... is there anything i should know about? will it work? or have the engine run bad? what? if i need to put the other dizzy back on.. what do i do with the extra hoses coming off of the intake to the dizzy? also, i've looked at both oil pans and i am wondering. i should i swich oil pans? they both look really similar and it could work... unless someone can tell me i'm wrong. i want to do as little as possible. the gasket/seal on the new engine looks really good and i really dont want to mess with that unless i have to. any advice would be gratefully taken. thanks

If it's a rubber seal, you can carefully remove it with no problems, just clean the surfaces well before reapplication, a bit of RTV sealant on the front and rear oil seal housing joins may be needed (not sure on the pan/block setup).
