VICTORIAN ALPINE CHALLENGE

Post by The Fish »

It seems as though this is actually going to happen  I have heard that entry forms have been spotted floating around up at the Outback Challenge. Unconfirmed details are as follows:

Date: September 3rd - 6th
Scrutineering on Friday, start Saturday and finish Monday.

Teams: 2 vehicles per team

Cost: $700 per team

Tyre Size: Up to 36.5" x 13.5"

Requirements: Helmets, harnesses and Type 2 - 4 point roll over protection.

Sanctioned by the CCDA

Sounds swweeeet. Have been waiting for this event to get off the ground for a long time and hopefully it will happen. Imagine, an Outback Challenge type of event without having to travel 10 hours to Broken Hill for 8 days and for a lot less $$$$$. Snow instead of dust, this will be awsum :D :D :D :D

For the amount of breakages he gets I think he will also need a spare nissan :finger:

By product of going fast Guts, and finishing an event that you can only make it to the half way point. Don't really break that much.

Once the OBC is over, I'm sure you will find out more about it.

There has already been made mention at CCDA Meetings.

For those that don't know, this event is also being run by Paul & Sharyn Vanderhorst - the organisers of OBC.

Have heard that only 6 teams have entered! Thought this would have heaps of people keen that can't commit the $$$$ and the time to the OBC.

Might be due to lack of info and publicity. Where can we find out more info?
