Hard means LOCKED,but I'm pretty sure Wes will be nice and have a Medium track to detour the hard,if there isn't one,I'm sure you'll make your way through if you badly need to.

I would be Thor. Remember the March night run. Same person is organising it. Same kind of stuff. It wasn't pretty on a couple of those check points.

Just a reminder that this is the last night run for the clubs AGM year....

After this one, we add up club members points and then have presentation. :)

Will see you all there.

All club memberships are due to be renewed at the July general meeting.

I have been informed by the organisers of this run that this was explained on the night.

All club members memberships are due by the agm in July.

I am sorry if there has been any misunderstanding but this was a committee decision and as such it stands.

That is true.
It was explained when we had all the people that were joining on the night gathered round, everyone else seemed to be there and questions were even asked about it so don't know what happened to you.

your lucky i've taken a few minutes to compose myself before posting this, i probably would have gotten banned if i said what i first thought

it is bullshit that we (and by we i mean at least one other member from here on outerlimits who also signed up on the night, i'll let him decide if he wants to be known, but he also isn't very happy as he has informed me via pm) were told about the membership running out at the end of june.
one of your members asked me if i wanted to sign up for 6 or 12 months on the night........thats real good when it runs out in 6 weeks  , and was also asked about the magazines (luckily another of your members warned me off about signing up to recieve the mag as it is rarely published).
if i had of been informed about the membership running out at the end of june i would have seriously reconsidered participating in the run. mandy put on an awesome run, but $30+ for one night i don't think i would have bothered.

Now let me compose myself -

firstly - I am the editor of the clubs magazine and whoever informed you that our magazinge "rarely" gets published has misinformed you and whoever else they are telling this to. Our club has a magazine published EVERY month as I have been the editor for the last 3 years - this I know as FACT!!

Secondly - What they could be referring to is that I haven't recently sent out any magazines due to my family coming first and my own ill health. My door is always open to those that haven't made a meeting and wishes to collect the magazine. I also endevour to attend the night runs and the meetings with current and past copies of the magazines.

Thirdly - I am also the membership officer and due to the fact that I do not have the membership book on hand at present, this makes it difficult to do the membership cards and anything else associated with the membership side of the club. As for receits, this is the treasures job and as she is currently on her honeymoon - along with the president then this makes them both presently unattainable.

If anyone has a gripe with our club then please pm me and we can deal with this.

As I have said the AGM is coming up on the 14th July and we are always looking for fresh faces to help run the clubs committee. :)

As they say - it is the members that make up a club!!

well if the club is unable and/or unwilling to see common sense with regards to this matter and try to come to a compromise that will appease both parties then i'd rather quit/resign from the club, cause i sure as hell wont be resigning up again after only 6 weeks.

I have been a member of quite a few clubs of the last few years and everyone has had a common due date which is fair enough. I even helped set up a club so i understand the reasoning behind it.
However I will back antt up here that it has not been made clear the the membership runs out in June/July. I signed up probable a month and a half ago and it did not state on the form that the membership expired in July. I too was given the option to join for 6 or 12 mths.... And that was at a monthly meeting.

I am going to stay as imparshal as possible on this one as i can see it from both sides. I can understand the common due date however i can understand Antt's annoyance to. It needs to be made clearer... IE printed on membership forms.

And while we are on the night run ....I can't make will be fairly blind at antt's 21'st..... gonna puke on his dog since he did that at my 21st :finger: :finger:

I would just like to say that I don't want to blamed for this as it happened on my run,I too am in the same mind as I am not going to get the full 6 months either that I paid for and I agree it should be stated on the membership form.

BUT...
Logan is one of the very few clubs that actually have a 6 months option.
Any other club would of charged you 12 months regardless of whether there was 11 months or 1 week left.
From what I've seen, other clubs are also a bit more expensive.

What I said about the mags was that if you were coming to the meetings, you wouldn't receive your mag in the mail.
Sorry if you misinterpreted what I had said and I hope that you stay a member, because as Nat said it is the members that make the club.

i don't blame you mandy, and it wasn't you who warned me about the mags. i've also since heard from another member bought them, but i couldn't care less about the mags, its the membership thing that shits me

Setting aside the assiciation fee which I assume needs to be paid be every member regardless of time frame (else no insurance), why not work out a pro-rata payment for those who did not know all the details, and credit the rest of their time/payment towards the following club year?

I was going to try and make this run, and join at the same time, but I'll wait till July now..

exactly what i was thinking... for those late members, we work out what it costs per week.. then pay for the number of weeks that we have been members. easly and sensible solution - but who knows what the "committee decision" will be.
i'm still waiting for a response from nat - anyone want to PM me a contact number?
