what i need is some info on how to get a bit more power without breakin out big bucks

do a search there are heaps of threads about snorkels and power upgrades. Be mindful you are now driving a car with a 1.3lt engine power is not a word you will be using. Also look for threads about gearing

spend less and go 4x4ing more :)
