Pressure plate collapsed, winch missing, spotties, compressor gone, few other goodies.

Water comin out of exhaust, so headgasket gone, or cracked head..

Not a bad score, if it costs eric $3-4k he is ahead still, and has a truck he can do comps in! Fuckin prick!

U no, maybe its coz I haven't been round long or something BUT some of the post seem to only make sence to some.

Am I a minority or majority for thinking this or is it just a case of "u had 2 b there"

Anyway it sound like all the good bits are gone and they will cost more than $3-4000 for them, let alone all the other issues you mentioned if it is meant to be a car he can do comps in??????

not only the motor conversion but the suspension etc etc

and the motors arent that expensive to replace complete , let alone do a head gasket or a complete head

so yes , it is still a good deal

and the car certainly has some history
so yes u r missing somethin obviously

The clutch is gone, the headgasket doesnt appear to be blown, no water in oil, or bubbles in radiator water.

For the price he paid, you would be pullin yourself too.

Kyle sold it for good price really for what the bloke got a bargain... from there to my mate Eric is a mystery... Eric is a car wholesaler, it was at a wholesalers yard.. he offered, they accepted and he has it at his house... the Cookie.. ;)

So who owned it before Adam H?

Adam H (he started the patrol lists on Topica, then Yahoo) -> Kyle -> Mystery man -> Eric.

Got It:

Some bloke built a GQ SWB with all the off road bits and a 4.5 litre V8,

then

He sold it and getdirty bought it

And then

He sold it to someone unknown

Then

Bogged's mate Eric the wholesaler bought it with a knackered motor and some off road bits missing for a song.

Moral of story;

When buying a modified 4WD always look for one that someone has spent a lot of money on as you can offer them a cheaper price and they'll probably take it as the car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay and not necessarily what they spent.

Almost right

Adam howorth (sp) built it with a lot of R&D in the suspension to get the right weight in coils and shite to get the most outta the standard susp

He sold it getdirty bought it done some mods 1 being puttin in that sik vh45 he sold it (from bogged said) the next dude sold it /maybe had it repo-sessed and it ended up and bogged 's mates and bought it

is that right

Deleted last bit of post as it had no connections with wat i said thanx mk :oops:

Yeah you had the correct last name, I remember hearing the name and wondering if they were brothers...I'm pretty sure they are unrelated

Dunno y no one else chimed in.

Yes, I'm Adam and PTROOL was my project,. No, we are not related. I have not met John, though since I now live in Canberra it would be good to meet the bloke.

Thinking about getting myself a Y60 or Y61. My current vehicle just doesnt have the Patrol goodness to it. Got an eye on this:

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/pri ... 20matchany" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its a Y60, intercooled turbo 4.2, airlockers F and R, 4.61 r and ps, 35s, custom barwork, hi mount warn, endless air etcetc

The added wheelbase of the LWB would be of help in hill descents and having more space for my growing family

cheers
