dual air con on Exceeds

Post by Ian Sharpe »

does anyone know how the dual air con on Mitsu Exceeds works.

Is it 2 compressors?? or just a split to the back.

2 compressors would compromise engine performance I believe.

cheers

Understand there are two compressors with the second driver side rear corner. I turn the A/C off in engine stressing situations.

Ho hum. One compressor. There are two evaporators(the bit that makes the cold (one in the front, one in the rear). Only one condenser (the bit in front of the rad.

You'll see when looking at the pipes that go to/from the cabin there is a branch off that leads to the rear unit.

Simple.
