But as far as comps i always trailer because i dont like having to nurse it so i can drive home.

I`m the same as ruff, but every now and then still drive it to a comp if I`m short on cash.

If im short on Cash i dont compete just like this weekends upcomming XRCC event. I have 2 rego's due next week and i still havent fixed a few problems i have from the last expo round so i wont be there at all. If i cant afford to tow it i defianatly cant afford to trash it.

I don`t worry about that as it only sits in the shed untill next time I go 4x4ing. But if I haven`t got some way of getting home (with a mate) if it happens to end up undrivable then I just don`t go.

Must admit driving them in the road is fun.
Mines still in the garage (sob, sob, sob) but it'll be free soon, hopefully there will still be the odd little old lady to scare

The Patrol is a daily driver, and drive to and from 4wd
The Suzuki is a shed shelf  i sometimes drive it to and from and sometimes (more than I car to remember) it comes home at the expense of RACV on a tilt tray

Was a driver to comps and wheeling spots ;)

Now I have the GQ to tow with I think the 40 will be relegated to Trailer Queen Status.

As has been stated, it just makes the driving more fun if you dont have to nurse your rig for fear of not being able to get home :D
