ok.... feroza is what most people on here drive. rocky refers to the aussie model, being the f70's/75s etc. unless its stated that its a u.s. rocky (feroza) which is what i drive. sporttrack i think is the feroza... maybe the narrow track model? not quite sure there.

I believe the Rocky (aus)/ Fourtrak, was also known as a Taft.

The earlier model daiahtsu's (F20 etc) were also known as a Taft in some countries. But also called a Scat in Australia. Got to love how a car manufacturer can get away with putting Scat badges on something

hm....

So now I'm lifting the secret of my question:

Tractech is a U.S. - Company - Isn't it?
They are offering a DETROIT-LOCKER for Daihatsu Rocky (rear)....

http://www.tractech.com/App4.html

for axle-diamter 1.21" (30mm) with 30 splins and for axle-diamter 1,29" (29.7mm) with 29 splines
(model-number 187S-134 and 187S-133)

???

That's because I was asking the quesiton about axel-diameter and splines @ http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... hp?t=16960

What do you think?? (WOULDN'T THAT BE TOO EASY?)

Haasa, I think that's the place I emailed about a year ago. The diff was to suit the Aussie Rocky (ie not a Feroza) and they no longer make them anyway.....

Sorry for the bad news.

Forget it PV, Tractech NO LONGER MAKES detriots for Rockys. And yes, they were for Australian Rockys aka Fourtrak, Rugger, F 70,73,75, 80,83,85. Fourtrak in the UK, Rugger in New Zealand and South Africa. I believe they are still called Tafts in South East Asia. I have seen a pic from Malaysia (I think) of a 5 door, all steel top, LWB F series vehicle called a Taft.

Earlier F series Daihatsus in Australia were called Scats, and they were cross badged by Toyota and sold in Australia as Blizzards. I have seen a grey import down the Gold Coast which was a F75 body, but badged Toyota Blizzard.

The Feroza (Australia) F300, 310 is called a Sportrak in the Uk, and a Rocky in the USA.

now hold on just a second here. this company is in the US. thus why would it be making lockers for an aussie rocky? dont jump to conclusions as of yet alright? i will personally call them hopefully soon and find out what exactly is going on and even see if they could refer me some where else. just doesnt make sense to me that they would even make parts for an aussie rocky when we got our own rockys right here which is better.... ;) will let you guys know what i find out as soon as i call.

PV, Call as much as you like. I have Detriots front and rear in my Rocky (an Australian one) and have since done the enquiries to Trac Tech, as have a number of others. No go. The volumes sold no longer made production viable. Ya get that.

Here is the thread where this has been answered before.

even if they dont make em any more.. they must have some kind of information.. blue prints maybe... or references... i dont care what they have, i'll take whatever i can get my hands on... sadly i couldnt get through to any specific person so i left a msg and should be getting an email soon. i'm sure i'll get the same email you guys got... but that wont stop me, i'm going to press for MORE info... see how far in i can get into this whole thing. they have SOMETHING, trust me. knowing us yanks, we save everything. or a form of everything.... i'll do some sniffing around for you guys but its gonna take time. maybe since i'm a yank, they'll provide a bit more information than was provided to you guys? :finger: lol. hey, some info is better than nothing, which is what we got right now. and another thing, they may not make em any more for daihatsu, but if they still have em listed, they got SOMETHING.... references, information, maybe even blue prints, i dont care... i want something! :bad-words: and i will get something.... you guys just watch the pevster get to work.... will take time i'm sure though. will keep you all updated.

Ummmm..... that's all fine and dandy.... but they never made one to suit a Feroza. Only the Aussie Rocky.

If you want blueprints etc start hassling Daihatsu- they made (or had made by someone) a factory LSD.
