still sorting out little crap on my SPOA.

a little low on cash at the moment, so im looking for a cheap fix. (dont have the 1250 bucks needed for good steering setup)

ive seen a few people using the STD 60 series arms and tie rod. flipped upside down. so the kingpin on the arm faces up. and use a bottom kingpin to sit in the top swivel bearing.

ive trialed this method. but the arms twist the tierod ends way too far.

would the arms be too hard to twist in a vice with a big shifter?

im gonna see if i can die grind the tie rod holes out and run the tie rod on the other side of the arms.

iam guna run 2 arms 1 fliped 1 not when i do m spoa i hope one under the spring one over it i think dan shorty 40 runs the same set up cant see u twisting it in a vise dude

BJ56,

the only problem i can see, and i have considered this option, is the strength issues with running longer bolts. If you have a case of this working successfully then I would like to hear as it would bring my spoa closer. I have heard of people snapping bolts by simply inverting one arm on top of a standard arm and running longer bolts into the swivel housing.

Pure speculation and heresay tho!

I am running the setup BJ speaks of (Commonly known as cross over steering). And I have run it for the last couple of years with 35s and now 38" TSLs.

I have had no hassles at all with strength or reliability. I am running 60 series power steering aswell. I have not had any problems with the bolts.

Also, if running two separate arms concerns you, places like ORI sell a complete cast 'flipped' arm.

yeah trusa. my brothers rig runs cross over with 37s. no worries to date.

just dont like the idea of the tie rod end sitting up and down instead of front to rear.

im gonna end up using this method. til i get enough money for billet arms.
