2nd sam and POS in the lockless
3rd gonads

and yes gonads zook does float, shame the engine dont run when wet otherwise he would have drove the dam.

he seemed to go alright, though it had a hell of a lean to it when he was driving round on flat ground. just the fox shocks must need some tweaking :)

yeah, have to say the commentator was one of the better ones i have heard, really got the crowd goin.

rod had a few problems on track 3 this morning, had no front locker. he also rolled on track 2 sat arvo, as did gonads.

the two tracks on sat were really good, the two today where good for spectators, but i would have prefered to see them running on a natural terrain track, with more big ledges etc, but they were still good to watch.

i agree killalux, i much prefer natural terrain, today we were too far from the action. though unfortunatly i can see this happening with all comps due to insurance, which is a shame, cause the previous rounds and yesterday apparently have been awesome cause ya can get so close to the rigs  :D

XRCC Round 2

Post by XTREME MMM »

:) :) :) :) :)

What a great event, I would like to thank all those that helped me make it that way, competitors, officials, spectators & LMP.

I will put up Course by Course results after I unpack vehicle.

The competition was great & it was good to see some new faces & machines there this weekend.

It will be great to see Troys (Finalcut) video of the round. Should be some great close up of all.

Many thanks to Damien for his great work as our announcer for the weekend.

Thanks also to Mickey Thompson & 4WD Monthly for their continuing support of XRCC.

Regards David (MMM) :) :) :) :)

We shot just over 6 hours of hardcore wheelin action, we are looking at producing a STFU Raw Footage version only for the competitors, with an official XRCC fully edited version to follow. Some conditions must be adhered to with the production of this video, and sufficient numbers are needed to cover the production costs. This video will only be available to the competitors, as a means for them to get vital feedback on their drives and rig setup. This video will be ready to send out within the next few days. PM me for more details.

I cannot be a hundred percent certain but I doubt the ones at the winch challenge are COMPETITION KRAWLERS.

If they were brought here in Aus they are mostly the street compound krawler - same tread pattern as the comp krawlers just a different compound.

Sam's (sorry BJ's) krawlers are US comp compound krawlers, in fact they were used by Tracey Jordan at the last supercrawl ( how's that for COOL)!!!

So yes Sam is the first to run them but at the moment they are still BJ's (for the time being)

Had a good weekend despite a minor set back on stage one. The rest of the stages were good fun and the bonus stage is what it's all about (awesome fun!!)

Big congrats goes to BeeBee and Greg for showing us how it's done.

Awesome driving and awesome spotting.

Big THANKS to Dave Metcalfe, Mickey Thompson and Landcruiser Mountain Park for putting on a good event.

An even BIGGER THANKS goes to all the competitors especially the boys from down south (Gonads, Taz, Jamie and the support crew).

And a even BIGGER BIGGER thanks goes to the awesome crowd that cheered use on!!!!!

I'd like to officially thank Dave Metcallfe, Mickey Thompson and Land Cruiser Mountain Park as well as my current sponsers Repco and Universal Driveshaft Services; Greg (1Madengineer) for doing an awesome job of spotting again (hence the "Best Spotter" trophy); the rest of the competitors (especially the southerners) and the spectators for making the weekend much more enjoyable.

Had a really great weekend (obviously). Only breakages were a shock on the way into the campsite and a CV after the finish of the 2nd stage.

Really supprised to take the win after guessing that I might get 3rd or 4th.

Also keen to see the overall scores from the weekend.

Thanks again to everyone.

Okay, after furthur discussion with Dave Metcalfe, we unfortunately won't be producing the STFU Raw Footage video for competitors only. In the best interests of the professional projection of the sport, the official fully edited XRCC video is the only video product that will be made from this event.

Thankyou for the idea Big Red and Link, we may look at introducing this for other comp series (ASCC etc) until production lead times improve. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

It is great to be back on board filming this awesome event.
