got a leak around the waste gate, its loud and anoying. the 2 parts dont have a gasket between them and i have tried everything. gasket goo, mufler putty, u kneed it.. they all just cant take the heat and end up turing to blob of smoking charcole.. can no longer buy gaskets the shape i need, but id love to cut my own, just dont know what it needs to be made out of so it can take the heat.. or is their a putty of some sort i havnt tried that will handle it??

I agree. if you need a gasket there, something is warped, and even with a gasket that can take the heat, it will blow out sooner or later. is your truck petrol or diesel? if diesel the exhaust temperature at the wastegate should never exceed about 600 - 700C which the copper colored high temp silicone sealants can handle occasionally - your normal exhaust temp at that spot should be around 200 - 300C at cruise and lower at idle.
so you might have 2 problems - too high exhaust temps and warped turbo bits (which might have been caused by too high EGT)
