shocks for SPUA RUF

Ok, done a search and can't find any info.

I am going to run 2.5" lifted springs with RUF and spua. what shocks are people using for this setup??.

I am looking at some monroes at the moment but have to find someone with the book to look at as the web site is cr$%.

I am using Old Man Emu racing buggy shocks on custom mounts. in the past had some luck running Old Man Emu rear shocks for a 4Runner

N76 OME's have about 11.5 inches shaft travel and are nice and soft.


SPOA with lifted springs sounds tall, post some pics please.

if you are not changing shock mounts and still running spua then even with ruf i guess the compressed length is no different to standard. longest ranchos that will fit are 99117 front and 99119 rear.

putting the longest shock to fit the compressed distance between the mounts gives ya the biggest travel and flex you can get (for the mount positions).

Personally after blowing a set I think that Rancho's are a bit over prices, I'm happy with my shocks, they are softer than Gregs 9012's also

bigsteve why do you keep on talking about SPOA in this thread? It isn't about SPOA it is about SPUA. I don't know where you got the idea it was SPOA from. Stop it as you are exciting redzook with all this SPOA talk :D

from memory , it was an earlier style celica !!
at 1 stage I had lifted springs & x-tended shackles !!!

On the rear , I,m using Ford Xplorer shocks (rear)
but I,ve moved my upper mount inboard & upwards !! :)

Yeah same on mine.
Nic make sure when you buy these shocks that they are valved right for your application.
