I had my truck worked on about 6 months ago and I double cheked with them that they did put front diff oil in and I got "yep no worries" .
I went to drained the oil today to pull the front centre out and all that came out was a lump full of glitterly mess, There was no friggen oil in it Finally got the centre out it is badly worn but still seems to be usable.
The reason I was pulling it out was to fit a locker in so I was wondering what ya think about reusing the centre
all up I`ve done ruffly about 1000k`s in 4wd and probably about 5k`s at the one time.

If it was the shop's fault, thats terrible. I doubt whether they would be interested in taking responsibility for it though especially as it happened 6 months ago. I'm sure they would argue that it had leaked somehow or the diff oil fairy had come along and drained it.
does it make a bad grinding noise when you turn it?
is it really easy to turn?
id be askin that shop to pay for repairs and get a diff specialist to do the work.
and always check your oil levels yourself!!!!!!!!
Everything seems to be ok sept for the crownwheel and pinion its badly worn and the outer part of the crown wheel has little bits of metal stuck to it probably from when the C/P heated up and pushed the sh$t out to the side
