Ordered the 24v Warn winch motor, Bosch 24v alt gettin fitted up this weekend. Question i intend running the 12v winch control system so i will have to run an external 12v supply to the controller system and the main power cables to the 24v system. So the 12v relays will be switching the 24v supply to the motor. I belive this should work as there's heaps that have gone 24v what did you do?
Wally.

12-24V WINCH CONVERSION
Moderator: -Scott-
so your keeping the 12V system? just going to run a second 24V system?
or are you going to make the whole system 24V?
12V relays will work off the existing 12V circuit to switch the 24V winch circuit on. as 12V is the rating of the coil that switches the poles in the relay. the poles can take 24V.
i wanna run 2 separate circuits, 12 for the usual stuff and 24 for winching.
