I`m thinking about 15mm, still close I know and I`d prefer 25mm but this 1UZ is a tight fit
I have 5mm clearance between the tapet cover and the hand brake mechanism on mine but im running rover mounts and it doesnt hit much. I think there are guidelines for this that engineers look at so maybe contact an engineer first.
I have moved my engine and box back as far as i can (about30mm) and lowered the motor 3" from where the original supplied engine mount adapters had the engine. My diff just slightly touches the sump if i hit something hard and my tailshaft rubs the bellhousing realy bad on full compression but the square shaft is handling it fine,when its finished clearancing it a little more i will go for a round shaft again
