I have noticed more and more battle scares underneath the car and I want to get some more clearance with the engine, gearbox and transfer case.
So how do I go about this? I hear snake has a kit but that will cost way to much. Anyone else sell kits or could I just get someone to make up new mounts and get them welded on?

Engine Lifting
Moderators: toaddog, TWISTY, V8Patrol, Moderators
Snake racing make a 40mm engine mount lift for the 2.8 diesel Hilux.
Thats what I used along with a custom transfer crossmember to give the lift and increased clearance underneath.
Snakes spacer can be seen here - http://store.snakeracing.com.au/cache/i ... l?cache=no
4Crawler (USA) engine mount spacers- http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks ... untSpacers
Hope that helps

I think there comes a point where the $$$ for clealance value is just not there, as in this case. Do you really get caught up underneath oftern? For all of the effort involved to fit the spaces I doubt very much there would be that much of an advantage
