I am looking at istalling some extra lights and probably like most of you i will want more than 1 pair and want to have them all switch inependantly. The problem is were am i going to put 4 or 5 switches which got me thinking
Maybe i will design a little display with a couple micro style switches. the switches could have leds displaying which lights are on an the display could tell you which lights you are turning on or off. I was thinking it could also include battery voltages displayed and posibly other things like external air temp, it could also turn the lights off for you.
Any ideas on what else i might include in it (the sky is the limit).
Would anyone else be interested in something like this (once i have designed the first the rest sould be easy)
Thanks
Dave

Sounds interesting !
Gonna put 4 on the roof , 2 on the bar and two for reversing, plus about 6 for rock lights, so a single panel with visualisation to control it all would be great

thanks thats what i was thinking, plus finding a place for all those swithes would be inposible in my car. how many controls do you think would be enough , what other things would you like to see the dispay show. I might photoshop up a demo to give you some idea of what i was thinking and maybe get somemore input
Don't forget the momentary in/out winch switch, a master isolator for the total electrical system (required on comp rigs now...so just a switch that will control a seperate solenoid), compressor switch, lockers, winch clutch actuator, seperate volt sensors for each battery, etc...endless.
...also wire reverse lights to be triggered by reverse and seperate switches.
