tips for extended shackles... 60 series

Post by stumped »

i did a quick search, but didn't come up with anything conclusive. i'm sure this has been done a million times, but i'm just a zook driver asking for a mate who can't get online ;)

he's wanting to make up some extended shackles for his 60 over the weekend, is there anything that he should look out for? how long is recommended? 2"? more, less? is castor affected, is a shim needed? anything else with the steering geometry that is affected? also, is it better to brace the shackles or not??

cheers guys!!
