Are they the same width?
ie if hilux axles go under a sierra then only the same problems apply to swapping them into an LJ?
Cheers
Daryl

LJ v's Sierra chassis width
the lj chassis is skinnier than the sierra. it might be 100mm I think from memory, but someone will confirm I'm sure. (hint hint to the info gods)
the rear hilux diff will line up good as the lj driveline is straight down the middle, but the front is offset so, that would just mean getting the flanges sitting at the same angles so that there is no harmonic vibration thingy's happening.
it would be ok for onroad use if you don't get the front flanged even, ie- not used on road, and ok for slower stuff, but it will start to chew uni's and other bearings if it is used at speed.
should get some good flex out of it because the springs are that bit closer.
well thats all I got.

Yeah but the spring perch might end up on top of the pumpkin, or pretty close to.
Maybe you could use the LJ body on a Sierra chassis?
Mock (ljextreme) on this board owns a lj body on a sierra chassis with MQ diffs. Pm him for any dimension queries or perhaps he'll chime in here
