heater help...

Post by savage »

Situation - 1988 Toyota Hilux YN67

Mission -
Primary - To get the Heater going again
Secondary - To get the heater connected up rather than being bypassed under the bonnet

my heter doesnt go atm, and hasnt since i bought the car, however it looks to be bypassed under the bonnet... so this morning i went and got out gregorys manual... i reconnected the hoses to where they look like they should go, however when the car started and i turned the heater on, it made like a grey steam not smoke come from under the hood, so i turned it off and became very much worried... can someone take a shot of udner the bonnet, most notably where the heater hoses SHOULD be connected on a car of this model and please gimme some advice or tell me if heater problems are common and wat may be the problem...

thanks alot
Savage

Heaters are usually by-passed because they are leaking. In reconnecting it you will more than likely find that this is the reason it was disconnected. Not sure on the steam coming out but I'm sure someone will have a pic up for you shortly. Hope that helps a little. :)
