Gold Coast 2000
Gold Coast 2000 / 2004 will now be run 6,7.,8/8/04. Entries are now open for all interested 4wders. The event is based on a similar format to the OBC, but on a smaller scale. Never the less you will probably do just as much 4wdriving. The event started as a club type event 21yrs ago, & is still run by the Gold Coast Club, it has changed over the last 3yrs into a much more challenging event. Last yrs 2000 was taken in convincing fashion by Kim Bolton & Rob Marks in GURIPA.The cost to enter is only 150.00 as it is a non profit event. This yr we have in excess of 6000.00 worth of cash & prizes. The field will be made up of the 30 most competitive teams. For any other detaits return to my outer limits handle rob7.

winch challenge/ out back challenge teams
The competition comprises of not just driving and winching, but navigation, first aid, etc. Being based on teh OBC, you need to be self supportive, with food, water, sleeping gear, warm and wet weather gear (although the cyclone that us for the first event was ridiculous).

One way or another 4x4 TV will cover the Gold Coast 2000. How about some of you northerners contact Bris 31 and ask them politely to air our show...they've had our demo tapes for long enough!

Awesome... and an email has been sent to Briz 31. Have you contacted Rob7 regarding the running of the event etc? I, or XFactor, should be able to get his contact number to you via PM.
