Hello all,
The lads that came with us on the latest SA outing will know what i'm on about...
Well today I went back to see how our "Pruning" looked like the day after. Well it looked a little better than yesterday as the overnight rain had "neatened" things up abit.
But due to the overnight rain and continuing rain, the creek is now a flowing river!!! The current was so strong that as i was going through the crossing with the big cement pipe in it the back of the Roza started to spin around. Scary stuff.
There was also a pretty deep crossing, so I stopped in it to see how deep it really was. About and inch above the bottom of my door. It wasn't until later i realised how stupid it was as the passenger side footwell is now full of water!
Last but not least, I'm sure you can remember the first crossing we came to. The one with the really slippery bank. Well i was going the opposite way to what we did it and due to an unplanned slide of the rear wheels i found my self looking at the ground through the passenger window with both the drivers side wheels in the air for a brief moment. It was then time to go home.
So until next time folks
Dangerous Dave.
PS, Yes this post will be avaliable in paper back!

GUESS WHAT I DID!!!!
I've just got back from sheidow (10:09pm on the 18/6/04). The creek is huge. Words cannot describe the amount of adrenalin thats flowing right now. I only did two crossings and decided that it was enough! The second one i came to, which is usually pretty shallow suprised me.
I was going through it and my lights went out! Or atleast i thought they did. They were underwater along with half of my bonnet.
I turned around and headed back out then. As if the shallow one was that deep i don't even want to think about the deep ones! Or atleast not on my own anyway.
I went back to the Grimace patch for some fun and POP, my drivers side rear is now flat on the bottom Ah well, a bit of saving and some new centipedes i will have. I wants them.
hmmm thats all for now.
