COOL.........Mmmmmmmmmmm............don't think so

What's gonna happen when your bearings seize ??

Don't think that your engine like being driven without a fan belt !!

Trust me losing the Air con belt won't hurt the engine- mine spat the belt off last week  You just lose power steering.

The alternator and water pump have their own seperate drive belt.

I would fix asap. The heat that it is generating will make it very hard to get out the longer you leave it in there. And if the bearing ends up seizing it might be almost impossible to replace.

noise

I've got a box full of goodies like spare belts , hoses etc , also got a spare air con unit , was going to make a compressor out of it and do away with the air con. I've started to make some 3" nurf bars to be an air tank to replace the girlie side steps . Now that it's been mentioned that the bearing might seize up , chances it will    ,

Don't do away with your airconditioning......you've got a luxury car there.....I still use mine on 40C days.
